MIAMI, FL.-- The SegPay Truck Series concluded its season at Homestead-Miami Speedway on October 12th, and to say that the race for the championship was an exciting one would be an understatement. At the end of the night, however, Byron Daley made the loudest statement of all. After the winning the pole, Daley led the most laps and drove his way to victory, clinching the year-long overall championship in a one-race heads-up battle against Chad Coleman, JD Laird, and Paul Cooper.
AVONDALE, AZ. -- As the SegPay Truck Series entered its penultimate race of 2016, Alex Bergeron had already proved himself to be a contender. Half of his truck finishes had been top fives, and yet, despite contending for wins, he hadn't yet pulled into victory lane. That all changed at Phoenix when Bergeron led the most laps and finished ahead of the rest.
FT. WORTH, TX. -- Paul Cooper swept every category that mattered at Texas in the SegPay Truck Series by winning the pole, leading the most laps, and driving to victory lane at the conclusion of the race. After standout runs at Darlington and Milwaukee, Cooper was able to grab that first win to lock himself into the championship conversation for Homestead.
